NYC

I am sooo excited for this Friday. We are driving up and staying at the Tudor in Midtown. The place is super nice. I can't wait. This is the plan we will follow our friend home and surprise him with this trip. He has no idea we are going to NYC and that we planned this for him. He has never been to NYC and my friend Jerria finally got a weekend off right before the person we are going to surprise has to go off to Grad School. I can't wait to see his face. We told him that we should go to the movies on Friday to make sure he doesn't plan anything else. I will be packing tomorrow and Thursday I am going to buy some snack and a little cooler for the trip.

This has nothing to do with it but I can't wait for V to start this fall. I really hope it does well.

Games!

It's that time again. Update time! Wooo! Ok well last week was eventful. I got really sick on Wednesday and took the day off work. Then on Thursday I went to the Aberdeen Iron Birds baseball game. I wasn't really into it but our supervisor was selling the tickets for 5 bucks. So we decided to go. Here are the pics.

Then Friday was the big event. The AC Milan and Chelsea game. Pics and video below. It was amazing just being there. Seeing the crowd and seeing all the players. Most of my Italian boys were there and that was great for me. I didn't know that many people from Chelsea, but it was still fun.

On saturday I didn't do much just went to BnN to get a NYC book for our trip this friday and for my trip later to the NYC Food and Wine Festival. Then Sunday I went over to the gym with our trainer and got to play some racket ball. I'm actually good at the game. I have a killer serve.

National Aquarium

Shh! I'm listening to the fishes.

This past Sunday I headed off to the Baltimore Aquarium. Pictures and video are below:

I really enjoyed it. Since it was a weekend there were a lot of families at the Aquarium. I couldn't get tickets to the Dolphin show. After I saw every thing I went to the mall next door and ate a Five Guys burger. It was really good. I also saw some crazy stuff there were a lot of people dressed up in anime stuff and there was this psychic lady with rollers lol.

I am going to the gym every day during lunch. Jerria and I have a trainer he's going to help us reach our goals. Mines is to tone up. It should go well tomorrow that's when we officially start. Keep your fingers crossed for us.

O also Paul is leaving to Grad school in NC in August. So Jerria and I are thinking of surprising him with a trip to NYC. He has never been there so we are rushing now to plan it without him knowing. We will go up on Friday night and then come back Saturday night. It will be a short trip since there is work on Sunday. I really hope we get to plan it. I am hoping to go back later in October for the Food and Wine Festival. Here is the kicker I am going alone. We will see how that goes.

Mini Golf

Last Friday the group went out. It is going to feel weird not hanging out with everyone.

Cake!

Yum! On Friday Jerria made a cake for us at work. It was really good.

The bunny told me to go back

I didn't go to Six Flags this past weekend. I decided to head back to DC instead. Well really I was going to Six Flags alone and my friend Jerria told me to not do that since it was a questionable area. I will be heading with the girl to Six Flags so we will see how that goes. We are planning it for next weekend.

DC was great Well when I was there I got a little lost but it was actually good for me because I figured out how the streets are laid out in DC. Also while I was walking around I found a really fun tour. It is called Seg and the City. I am going to do a few of them for sure the DC one.

This Saturday we have the community is the meet and greet in our neighborhood. Then Sunday I am heading to the driving range.

Feeling Good

So this past Friday I went out with Paul and Jerria bowling. It was fun and I actually did really good. I am getting the hang of bowling :)

Go Back I Updated A lot

I am making a huge update about the trip with videos and pic/video. Youtube is still processing my videos. Give it some time. I am redoing my Chicago video since it was long. So go back to see what has been going down with me and le trips.

In other news I am writing down places/things I want to do/go to and when. There is a food festival in NYC might go to that. We will see. This weekend is Six Flags so wait for pictures of that. Then next week I will be staying home since there is a huge get to meet your neighbors event in our community. The week after that I am heading back to D to the C. The last week of July we have to see it's between heading to the beach here or to Philly we will have to see.

Guess who is filming in Vancouver :D I will just leave it at that lol.

Independence Day in DC

This was the most amazing 4th of July ever. It started in Chicago but ended in the best place. DC! I really wanted to be in DC for the 4th and so did Jerria. The plane got there half an hour early. We rushed to the Vienna/Fairfax metro station with our stolen airplane blankets to drop off the car and head toward the Washington Monument. We got there just in time. A few minutes after arriving the fireworks went off. Jerria and Paul were in line for the potty. That is why in most of the pictures you see the potty lol. I didn't care because it was just so great being there. See below:

and a little video:

In this video you can hear me saying who the hell keeps doing that. There is this weird sound and I thought it was a kid or adult but no it was a dog.

There were so many people there. We went to Federal Triangle metro station to head back home. Well the place was full. They had to stop people from going down until it had cleared up. Craziness ensued once down there lol. We waited for 4 trains. We took out our blankets and sat down lol. Every metro train was packed. People were stuck in there like sardines so we just sat down and waited. There was steam in the windows because of how many people were in the trains lol that was so nasty. We were about to give up and squeeze into the next train when the most amazing thing happened. The next train was Orange and it was empty lol. Everyone started to clap. We got seats! My feet were killing me. More and More people came on but I didn't care since we had seats. In one of the stops a cop was pushing people to get on the train at this point no more people could fit. So this lady was freaking out and screaming at the cop that there were kids here and there was no more space. The cop gave up everyone thought she was going to kick us all out, but it all worked out. We got to the car at 12am and got to Jerria's at 1am I got home at 1:30 almost 2am and knocked out.

Watch Out Oprah!

I had soooo much fun on this trip.

The only thing I do regret is not taking my camera with me when we went to J Bar. More on that later. We got to Chicago early in the morning and took the train. We got off at the wrong station. Thanks Google Maps! A nice police officer helped us out. Our hotel was a few steps from the train station. We loved loved loved that hotel. It was close to everything and everyone was real nice to us. So we left our bags and headed out to 'The Breakfast Club' that was a million miles away lol. I had no idea it was so far the food was good but a little pricey. I had their famous french toast and a cranberry sunrise. After breakfast we went to the mall and walked around the city until it was time for the festival. The Taste of Chicago was great I ate so much I couldn't even think or walk or talk. I wanted to eat more but my body couldn't take it. We stayed for the fireworks the images and video for that is below:

After the show we headed to the hotel. You can see how full the road was. They closed down a large part of the street for people to walk on. I was dead when we arrived at the hotel but Jerria pushed us to go out and I am so happy she did. I put on my dress and got all pretty. The first place we went to was blah I didn't like the music and the drink wasn't so good. So we left and walked a little more down the street. We got to J Bar but Jerria wasn't so sure about it. I really wanted to go in since it sounded interesting online. We passed it and since we couldn't find anything else decided to head back and try J Bar. Best decision ever! We get in and have some drinks (Malibu <3) and shots. I wish I had my camera because there was this 40 year old man with his wife there and they made the place fun. He was dancing all crazy and didn't care. I loved it. I should have gone up to dance with them but when I was ready they had left. So that was the crazy couple. There was also a wedding party. This was right after the wedding (such a cute idea) the bride was all dressed up she went and changed. Those people were so much fun. Hammered but fun. This one guy was dancing all over the place and this crazy girl was on the couch lol. So we got to dance with them. While on the dance floor lol there was this couple lol and the girl was on top of the guy like riding him. This was the best place lol. So many things happened. We got our friend to finally drink. He isn't big on drinking but we forced him and he liked it. After the lights were turned on we stumbled back to the hotel. Once there Jerria and I were really hungry so we were going to call this delivery place but I knocked out and she made popcorn. I was talking one minute and out the next it was so funny lol.

The next day we got up and had our free buffet breakfast it was so good. Then we went exploring a little more before heading off to DC.

BBQ Festival in DC!

It has taken me a long time to get this up but here are the pics of the festival. I am trying this new picasa/youtube slideshow/video thing. Anyways I drove down to the Greenbelt metro station. It took me a little over an hour to get there, but it was worth it. The festival was fun and there was real good food. I had some wine and got a whole bunch of coupons. For lunch I had some ribs and fries. Those had to have been the best fries I have ever taste in my life lol. I had a real good time walking around trying free samples of food items. I didn't really buy much there but I did manage to get my dad some BBQ sauce. I need to send that to him. He is going to love the hot one.

After the festival I went to the Museum of Natural History. I have no idea how I got in because I had my pepper spray with me. I walk in and the first thing I see is a huge poster that says no spray lol. After the museum I head to the Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial and the White House. My feet wanted to die. Since I planned on only staying there till around 5ish. I wasn't up for driving for an hour in the dark. Once it was time for me to head back home I headed to one last place. Hello Cupcake! The cupcakes look nasty in the picture but OMG that was some good stuff. I had some carbonated soda there that was really good too. At first I couldn't find the place. It's in Dupont Circle so I had to ask and this lovely boy helped me out. He said the cupcakes were worth the trip and he was not kidding.

Night Out

Before heading off on the trip we went out to do some bowling and buy our carrying cases for our new cameras. Here are some of the pics.

Non-Alcoholic Drink

I suck at bowling so everyone kicked my butt. I was just throwing the ball having fun. They actually took it serious lol not me. I did find out that I turn my arm while I throw the ball and that is why I don't do so well.

I CAN'T WAIT

I am holding off on the DC and BBQ pics. I am going to do one big entry on Sunday once I get back. I am really excited. I already have all my things ready. I kinda know what I am wearing. I am now trying to figure out how we will be getting around and just double checking addresses. I will try and twitter while in CHI or DC. I will be taking pictures of ever single food item.

O man this month should be fun I have a few small trips planned.

OMG CHI!

Dude tomorrow is going to be so crazy and Friday will be out of this world. I can't wait I need to do my hair since we are going to the bars around our hotel.
